WARNINGS
Please note that wool pillows may require an initial settling-in period. Wool is a natural material and may require ABOUT 15 DAYS of use before reaching its final shape.
If standard cervical pillows feel too high or too rough, discover the Low Profile Merino Edition. Handcrafted in Italy, this pillow combines the ergonomic "double wave" shape (reduced to ~11 cm height) with the superior softness of Pure Merino Wool. Unlike rustic wools, Merino offers a finer touch and a more welcoming surface, making it the ideal choice for those with sensitive skin or who prefer a "cloud-like" feel without sacrificing support.
Superior Softness: Merino wool fibers are thinner and smoother than traditional wool. This results in a filling that feels less "grainy" and more uniform under the cheek, providing a luxurious sleeping experience.
Thermoregulation Champion: Merino is famous for its ability to manage temperature. It keeps your neck warm in winter but breathes exceptionally well in summer, preventing the "sweaty neck" syndrome typical of memory foam.
Gentle Ergonomics: The low height (~11 cm) aligns the cervical spine naturally for back sleepers (supine) and stomach sleepers (prone), avoiding the strain caused by high pillows.
Back Sleepers: It fills the cervical curve without pushing the head upward, keeping the airways open (great for reducing snoring).
Stomach Sleepers: Its low profile is one of the few orthopedic options suitable for those who sleep on their front.
Sensitive Sleepers: If you find rustic wool too firm, Merino offers that extra degree of softness and refinement.
Small Builds: Perfect for petite adults or teenagers.
Shape: Double Wave / Contoured (Low Profile).
Dimensions: 70 cm (L) × 37 cm (W) × ~11 cm (H).

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The "Settling" Period You will receive a pillow that looks puffy and soft. Natural Merino Wool contains air. It requires a breaking-in period of about 15 days. Under the weight of your head, the fibers will naturally compact and settle, losing a bit of initial volume to reach the perfect ergonomic height of approx. 11 cm.
Air it out: Merino wool is self-cleaning. Expose it to fresh air (shade) regularly to regenerate the fibers.
Refurbishing: We offer a service to wash and recard the wool, keeping your pillow fresh for a lifetime.
Cleaning: Do not machine wash to avoid felting. Use professional dry cleaning only.
What is the difference between this and the Abruzzese Wool version? The shape and height (11 cm) are the same. The difference is the filling. Abruzzese Wool is rustic, robust, and very firm. Merino Wool is finer, softer, and more insulating. Choose Merino if you want a more delicate feel; choose Abruzzese if you want maximum firmness at a lower price.
Is it good for neck pain? Yes. It provides orthopedic support but gently. It is specifically recommended for people whose neck pain is aggravated by pillows that are too high or stiff.
Is it hypoallergenic? Absolutely. Merino wool creates a dry microclimate that dust mites cannot survive in. It is naturally safer and healthier than synthetic alternatives.
